"Gracious Father, we pray for thy holy
catholic church. Fill it with all truth, in all truth with all peace. Where
it is corrupt, purify it; where it is in error, direct it; where in any
thing it is amiss, reform it. Where it is right, strengthen it; where it is
in any want, provide for it; where it
is divided, reunite it, for the sake of Jesus Christ thy Son our Saviour.
Amen." ~ The Book of Common Prayer |

October 7, 2007 ~ St. John's "Blessing of the Pets" It was a
special Sunday at St. John's when parishioners brought their pets to be
blessed by Father Sanders. The annual "Blessing of the Pets" is held on
the Sunday close to the feast day of St. Francis of Assisi, patron saint
of animals. It's a reminder that all of God's creatures should be
respected and loved. |

August 1st, 2007 ~ St. John's Ice Cream Social After enjoying
some delicious ice cream, everyone gathered around much like they did in
the early church to talk about what the prophets of old, Jesus and the
apostles said about life and how we can apply it to our lives... the best
topping of the evening! |

June 10th, 2007 ~ St. John's returns to Fallbrook

Our first service at our new location. |
After many months of worshiping at All Saints in Vista, St. John's has
finally returned to the town where we began one hundred and sixteen
years ago! Many thanks to All Saints, as well as St. Peter's
Catholic Church in Fallbrook for their generosity.

Steve Wood and eager students. |

June 9th, 2007 ~ "Used Treasure" Rummage Sale for the Navy-Marine Corps
Relief Society
St. John's held a one-day rummage sale on Saturday, June 9 to
benefit the Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society at Camp Pendleton.

rummage sale. Items included small appliances, furniture, clothing,
costume jewelry, toys, books and much more!
|
